03.18.13: Where I truly belong
One of the things that truly amazes me about life is how God puts me in a position where I can learn a lot… and when I say A LOT, it means more than a handful of what I expect and deserve. I have been blabbing about the turning points in my life for years now. It’s just hard not to, especially when I realize that I can inspire someone.
Went to one of my favorite bookshops in the States! Ukazoo! They sell previously owned and new books. Trust me, I tried my best not to go out with so much books, but these are just so hard to resist! I went back a few more times after that Monday!!
P.S. Sadly, I can’t bring all of the books that I bought. I had more or less 18 books in total and I was only able to bring home 6 🙁
Fact: I LOVE MEDITERRANEAN FOOD! I am so lucky that my boyfriend is half Greek cause I get to enjoy the same food that I love with him.
Wait…. don’t we always do? Haha 🙂
Appetizers: Grilled Calamari, Hummus and Tzatziki
I love tzatziki!!! I eat it with everything!!! I can eat it with my steak, fried chicken or whatever is in front of me LOL.
It is safe to say that “we got served”. Served with too much pita breads! Pita has got to be one of my favorite breads, maybe next to brioche even! We went home with a bag of pita bread enough for 6 people!

Soooooooo goooood! There’s something about octopus that makes me feel like I’m a beast. haha #Weirdo
And of course! A Greek food trip will not be complete without these yummy babies! Gyro and Souvlaki! Mmmmmm
I first knew about ACF from our school, I never really thought much about it until my graduation, when they handed me that certification. I became more interested about it when I worked at BCC, all of the great Chefs that I worked with are part of this. And I though to myself…. wow I have that too (though mine was just on the student category only that time). So when the time came that mine expired (I was in luck cause I was still there when it happened) I didn’t hesitate on renewing. With God’s grace, I was able to do so and much more, I got upgraded to a Certified Culinarian. It means a lot to have this with CC beside my name. (apart from the fact that I am crazy about cards haha)

After our uber late lunch, we went straight to Stratford to witness a demo. One of the perks of being part of ACF is that you get to attend meetings, demos or any Culinary related stuff arranged by your chapter.
A french chef butchered a pig. He looked like he was filleting a fish. Haha
I liked the insights that he told us too! Made me want to attend to more ACF meetings! <3
Oh hello there! If the meeting took place here in the Philippines, this head would be a sisig after a few hours! haha

Unfortunately for me, I can blab more about food. I love fashion! I love dressing up! I love style! But cooking is my passion so it’s easier for me to speak from the heart and talk about it all day.
It is a delight for us to have a warm weather right after winter. So I took the opportunity to dress the part. I wore a floral skirt to scream SPRING and a jacket to say “hey it’s not summer yet” HAHA!
Forgive my face, the wind was blowing too hard that it made my face freeze. Not warm enough apparently! haha
