Hello, dolls!! Hello, weekend! <3 OH WHAT A WEEK! I am saying this with so much relief. I was on my feet literally all day every day since Monday, and I feel like saying that is an understatement. I am bone-tired and I couldn’t be any happier that I finally slept for 8 hours!!! Not 5, not 6…but 8! Today is all about relaxing with my little family and relatives that came to visit us from the Philippines. My head is a giant cloud with so many thoughts and my heart is full of so much excitement for our big day next week.
Sitting now and finally being able to blog is definitely my “weekend treat”. For some reason, being THIS busy keeps on reminding me of our last month living in our apartment. A and I started our married life together in that apartment, so as I was packing up our stuff I can’t help but start taking pictures so we can always remember our life before being homeowners.
We were supposed to move into our house in December, but since we still had a couple of months left on our lease, we decided to take it sloooow. We were so eager to move in of course! But with December being a busy month for A and I at work and the fact that there were a couple of things that needed to be done at the house, it became the best option for us.
So let me share with you a couple of things that I really loved about our apartment….
Dining Room
We hosted a lot of great dinners with friends and celebrated a good amount of holidays and celebrations with family here. This is definitely our “family room” <3
Once upon a time A and I got hooked on Mad Men. Don Draper is definitely one hell of a guy! I was swooning over him and A was all about his style. One day, we said ‘okay we are getting a bar cart today”…and voila!
I LOVE wall shelves! We decided to put these in the kitchen to display our beautiful glassware.
Our apartment had 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a den that we turned into an office. Unlike most apartments in the area, we were fortunate to have our own laundry room that was spacious enough to be a storage room as well.
I had to use one of our hallway closets to store all my shoes.
I bought this shelf to display some of my favorites! I feel like it’s also a great piece to have to make sure I do not have to much clutter in our bedroom 😉
My girls <3
Givenchy teacups from Klariz!! Literally cried when she gave us these on our wedding!! Too perfect!
Now… the best part of our apartment — the walk-in closet!
Soooo this is A’s side. This perfect corner for him for all of his clothes. 😛
I took over 2/3 of the closet — cause women will always have more stuff than men! ALWAYS 😛
I loved having enough room for all of my stuff without making A go crazy. I had fun organizing our closet.
I loved
Anyone else feels like having a big closet is everything?? LOL!
My “studio” 😛 This spot is perfect for taking pictures! The lighting here is perfect. I decorated my dresser with items that mean so much to me.
Since we own A LOT of books, I like to use them around the house as a decoration 😉 There are books that I just can’t let go so yeah…I am keeping them for as long as I could.
Everything on top of my dresser spoke so much about me.
My side table.
Our bedroom furniture is all white!! I love how clean and spacious it makes us feel whenever we walk in.
LC fan over here!!
My vanity table is one of the best presents from my in-laws! <3
We got hit by a snowstorm the weekend that we planned to move out of our apartment. We were so bummed because we were so excited to finally sleep in our house after a month of buying it!
Oh,the mess that my man had to clean lol!
I was in my first trimester so as much as possible, A wanted me in the apartment all weekend since I tend to slip a lot when it snows. After being coped in our apartment for 3 long days, I was so eager to go out and get food! My man held my hand the entire time and it was the sweetest thing ever <3
When the roads were cleared out, we decided to go to the house to see how much shoveling “we” had to do. We — meaning my sister and A lol
To be continued….. <3

Now this is a great read! ❤️
You will always cherish those sweet and special memories in your tiny space. And congrats on being homeowners! This was such an enjoyable read.
Thank you so much!!! <3 xx
So sweet! My hubby always thinks our place is too small for company or too much “chaos”. Yet, you made your apartment home and had people over. I think he just prefers peace and quiet lol. You had a very nice little apartment there. Love the little display shelves on the walls too. Congratulations on buying a home 🙂
Yes!!!! That’s why I love wall shelves because they save so much space 🙂 Thank you so much.
Lovely moments with family are what one often craves and cherishes the most> i loved reading yours and it triggers thoughts that I must cherish the memories with my family too
Thank you so much!!! <3
Aww! What a great post! You will so be thankful you have this to look back on. We moved out of our first home as a married couple a few years ago. I absolutely love my current home and don’t wish to live back in a tiny two bedroom townhome with almost four kids but we love talking and reminiscing about our first home. Congratulations on the move and all that life has to bring!
Thank you!!! <3
I am totally jealous of your 8 hours of sleep. With two kiddos nursing, my sleep is never uninterrupted.
I am down to 6 on weekdays because of work and the little one. haha. But yeah, it was so refreshing to have 8 hours of sleep last week 😉
You got a nice place! Congratulations! Oh and I love your vanity. ❤
Thank you so much!!! <3
Your apartment looks so wonderful! I’m sure you will create a beautiful home in your new house. Congratulation! On both the house and the pregnancy.
Thank you soooo much!!! <3
What an awesome idea to use books as decorations! I have tons of books, and always struggle for space to store them… thanks for the practical tip! The photos of your place look amazing by the way
Glad I was able to give you an idea! 🙂
