Hello, dolls! Hello, Monday. I wanted to post this entry sooner but my soul was somewhere else this past week that I couldn’t really get myself to type more than hello. Emotionally, it was a very exhausting weekend. It “might” be PMS, or maybe, just the reality that I should let go of certain things in my life to remove this heavy block that’s been weighing me down. I wasn’t in my element and honestly, as I type these words, I am starting to feel guilty for not being 100% for my son. My husband was amazing throughout this weekend before I even uttered a word, his arms were already wrapped around me assuring that everything will be okay — cause it will be.
Emporiyum just announced their next event in DC. I am so excited because it’s one of the events A and I look forward to every year. There’s so much creativity to see each year and lots of inspiration for us to take home. One of my favorites to see are the small business owners, learning about how they started is very encouraging.
Had the happiest baby belly that weekend <3
Emporiyum is a food event that features artisan vendors from all over the country. Most vendors that I’ve seen are from Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, and New York. It’s a very cool event with a lot of one-of-a-kind treats, foodies from all over town, and a great atmosphere. There are more or less 100 vendors every year, so there is surely something for everyone.
This food vendor with a brick-oven setup outside the venue welcomed everyone.
Our view for the day.
A and I tried Swizzler first since it was across the entrance. We try to stay away from stalls with a lot of people during our first hour to refrain wasting time.
We both loved this — especially A because of the house-fermented kraut!
I fell in love with Maggie’s Farm when A took me there for dinner. Everything was delectable that I still remember most of the dishes that we ordered. this pulled pork sandwich did not disappoint. We were so excited when we saw their stall!
I was still working at Ryleigh’s this time so we did not really buy anything from Local Oyster that day. I would definitely go this year if they are participating again!
I would probably drink gallons of this in one seating if did not have alcohol. Hoop Tea has one of the best mango drinks I’ve tasted.
I first heard about Max Brenner when I was still in the Philippines. I was so excited to see them at the event.
Clavel is a taqueria in Baltimore, MD. Their menu that day was very inviting we couldn’t resist!
Cochinta Pibil
Ceviche Sinaloense
Sweet Green graced everyone with a delicious plate of salad with tofu!
Keeping our cool with a refreshing mint iced tea from Dooby’s.
Some of the interesting food companies we sampled from.
Yay dumplings!! We love Pinch! They have awesome dumplings variations like lamb.
Charmed Bar is my new found love! We met one of the owners and she was really nice in explaining the natural ingredients they use in making the bars. I loved the apple flavor so much.
Got giddy when I saw The Corner Pantry
I can never walk away from a good Belgian waffle.
Got more excited when I saw Ekiben and Iron Rooster!! Emporiyum’s setlist is on a high!
I know Bulls Bay Saltworks is all about their salt but maaaan, they had the best chocolate chip cookie that we sampled that day!
Macarons, anyone?
Buredo is from Washington DC. They are known for their burrito sized sushi rolls.
Fatty Sundays is my all time favorite. Their Salty Toffee is to die for.
I was so upset because I wasn’t able to buy from Choco-Chick. Their cookie doughs are made of chickpeas, just what I need in my life. Definitely going to get a tub this year if they are participating.
Creminelli Fine Meats is something not to miss when at Emporiyum. They have some of the best cold cuts in the East Coast!
Bon Bon Bon
How cute are these chocolates?
Coco Love
Shortbread cookies and fine tea. Just my type!
Cannonborough Beverage Company
A and I LOVED the grapefruit soda. We will definitely get a bottle (or two) next time.
I passed by Julie’s Datery and I have to say, her dates are bomb!!
Popcorn Queens , Washington DC
Look at the interesting flavors Little Baby’s served that day. Doesn’t the speculoos sound good to you?
For all bacon lovers out there, The Bacon Jams will definitely make your lives even better.
Trisha’s Almond Toffee
The dark sea salt was heavenly. I could eat a bag of this in one sitting.
Floede Bolle is a chocolate treat from Denmark. The soft mallow covered with chocolate is very addicting!
How cool is this vending machine?
Megpies has the yummiest homemade pop tarts!! <3 YUM!

My belly looked 10 inches bigger after the event 😛
What weekend adventures looked like before baby A. 😛
I did not buy any maternity clothes when I was pregnant with baby A. I accidentally bought 1 when I was at H&M and did not realize that it’s actually a maternity dress until I got home and saw the tag.
Stretchable dresses like this one are very comfy.
