Hello, dolls!! Hello, throwback Thursday 😛 Aaaah it’s finally Thursday!! Just one more day and baby A will be waking up with me again and we can have breakfast together. There are some things I have to sacrifice as a Mom, and as I contemplate my next move (aka when I go on maternity leave) I find myself craving the little things that some probably don’t even pay attention to. As my baby bump gets bigger, my excitement rises whenever I think about the time I am going to spend with baby A before baby # 2 comes.
My plan this weekend is to be productive! Baby A and I had our first baking sesh this past Sunday and he LOVED it! I told him we will do it again this weekend and we even picked out a recipe, every day he would remind me about it and it’s really awesome to see the excitement on his face. I plan to get some things sorted here at home before my due date, cause really, I only have 17 weekends (if that) left to make sure our home is ready for baby # 2! Whew!
Maryland just had its coldest week to date and here I am blogging about my summer adventure 😛 I feel like I am only making it harder for myself to cope with this cold weather by reminiscing about our first great summer with baby A! lol
One of the coolest things you can do in Maryland during late summer is to go to a sunflower field. There are farms across the state that participate in the “sunflower festival” and most of them even have activities for families or adults (like weekend concerts and food trucks!).
We went towards the end of the sunflower season so it wasn’t as crowded as we thought it would be. Be prepared to sweat and wade through the long stems though. If you are like me and don’t like to spend a lot of time doing outdoor activities, you might have a hard time finding your way 😛
Luckily I had my parents who stayed with baby A in the car as my sister and I take a million pictures in the middle of the sunflower field.
Here are some of the sunflower fields in Maryland:
1. Clear Meadow Farm Sunflower Field (where we went!)
2. The McKee Beshers Wildlife Management Area
3. Verdant Valley Farm
In full bloom <3
Going to a sunflower field is definitely something that I add to my summer list. It’s an activity that doesn’t take all day so I can still do other things right after (like shop!). Seeing this beauty was worth the sweat! 😛
On a different note, I just booked our first official trip this year! I limit our “weekends away from baby A” to 2 every year (the number might go up in the future depending on the level of need lol aka to keep our sanity!). It will be an early anniversary celebration for us since I know I can’t take trips via plane on our actual anniversary since it’s a month away from my due date 😛 I’m a risk taker, but when it comes to childbirth, I would rather stay in a safe zone 😛
About my look:
Off shoulder top and printed shorts: both from my second trip to Bangkok <3
#MyABoys twinning in stripes! <3
Is it weird that I actually allot time in planning baby A’s outfits whenever we go out?:P I know I am going to have the best time of my life dressing up two babies soon!
Can’t wait to snuggle with this bug all weekend!!! <3
