Hello, dolls!Hello, positivity! 17 days into 2021, how are you feeling about this year so far? For some gratifying reason, I am starting to feel hopeful. I know things started pretty heavy this year with everything goin on, but I know there’s always something beautiful ahead of us..always.

One of my favorite bible verses is Isaiah 58:11 – If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. Every time my heart feels heavy or things seem to be going in a direction I could not understand, I remind myself about this verse over and over again. I get instant relief whenever I say this to heart.
Knowing that things will get better no matter what gives me the courage that I need when things are not okay.
2. Set A Goal
You probably don’t have the motivation to do so, but trust me, setting a goal even if it’s as easy as going to a new café or buying something to cheer you up will help find the positivity that you need. Putting your focus on something can lead to new found joys.
3. Take A Break
It’s okay to take a break, to breathe, or to find the new you. I noticed that a lot of times, the biggest factor of my breakdowns is the overwhelming feeling of not knowing where to begin. It’s okay to tell yourself you are already going through so much and know that loving yourself first is the best way to move on to a more positive space in your life.
4. Call A Loved One
I am guilty of not asking for help when I need it. I hate the thought of burdening anyone so as much as possible, I try to handle things on my own. I can’t tell you how many times I felt so much better after talking to someone. There are things that are kept in the dark when we are facing something difficult, and having someone to pull us through that is often times the best solution to staying positive during a crisis.
Invest in little things that will remind you of positive moments.
My husband would sometimes laugh at how serious I get when it comes to my skincare products. I would jokingly say “they’re cheaper than botox”. I have been religiously taking care of my skin since I came here in the US as an intern 8 years ago. I could have starter earlier but I did not know anything about it. Luckily, this delay did not cause serious problems. *phew*
I am picky when it comes to my moisturizers and I am always afraid of breaking out. TruSkin is my current work day moisturizer. You know… the one I apply before I start my day in front of the stove for hours. TruSkin is long lasting and I am loving it!
I used to think serums are just another way for companies to make more money, if my moisturizer is good, why do I need it? Joke’s on me because now I feel like I cannot live without a bottle of serum and I feel so foolish thinking that way because I have seen the positive effects of using serum daily. I am very impressed with TruSkin’s serum because it has Vitamin C which helps with dark spots.
