08.06.14: Annapolis Run

Hello, dolls!!! Happy #ThrowbackThursday —- the day when it’s (quite) acceptable for me to post my overdue entries.

We are at the hype of winter. It has been snowing every other day and so far I’ve been going out with at least 4 layers of clothing. I have a love-hate relationship with March. I want it to end soon because of the cold weather, but on the other hand I kind of want it to slow down because I NEED to accomplish a lot of things this month. I feel bad for A because I am a riot right now, I find myself talking about different topics at once, and doing numerous things everyday that we can’t keep to each other anymore — or at least that’s how I feel.

Oh time…please be good to me.

With all the craziness that’s been happening in our lives now. A and I would see to it that we make time to just sit down, eat, and not worry about anything. We also make sure that we see friends once in a while.

Our hungry stomachs brought us to Annapolis, since we were already going to be at the area we called Frances so we can all have lunch together with out little egg tart.  (more…)

The Milton Inn

Hello, dolls! Hello, December!!! <3 Aaah, can you believe it?? It’s the last month of the year!!! So I had a very lovely birthday weekend, thanks to A and our families for giving me a memorable 24th birthday! 🙂 This weekend has reminded me of how blessed I am and how beautiful life is. It’s no different from how I feel everyday, but this weekend was major! I can’t stop thanking Him for everything, because I know I wouldn’t get to this point in my life without Him.

Anyway, so I still have a gazillion things to post before my awesome birthday weekend. So I will work on my throwbacks and squeeze in my birthday posts once in  a while ( I mean you know the drill, right? haha). Since I am still gushing about my birthday dinner with A, I thought of working on an entry that is quite similar to that — date night with A!

One must maintain a little bit of summer, even in the middle of winter” – Henry David Thoreau

I am very fortunate that I have a man who would take me out on special dates even though we are not celebrating anything in particular.

We are celebrating life as we like to put it.

The Milton Inn is a well known restaurant here in Baltimore. It is a 274 year old fieldstone building, so imagine my face when A and I walked in. It was gorgeous and everything reminded us of BCC. From the food to the service and the decors. (more…)

03.15-17.14: Third week highlights

Hello, dolls!!! I am baaaack ,not that I was away for too long or something. But yeah, I am just too happy that I get to update my site tonight after a very awesome work weekend. In 9 days, I will be here for 2 months (what?already?) and I am going to talk about my third week just now (yikes). Just like what I always say, “I’ve been incredibly busy” . In the midst of my crazy-busy-happy life I am still able to do a bit of traveling, EATING and shopping — what else can I ask for?.  I can say that as of now, I’ve got everything that I need. It’s still pretty hard to say this, but I am starting to realize that things are not always pink and pretty and how I want them to be. Sometimes, it’s better and bigger and it could take time to accept and see the beauty in things, or at least I think that’s how it was when it came to believing that distance should not hinder me from being who I want to be.

Our Mondays are always crazy-fun. We always try to go to places and EAT awesome food.

This Monday, however, has got to be one of the bests. We were able to accomplish a lot of things and celebrate 3 cultures!

First Stop: Pho’ 98 in Glen Burnie.

Glen Burnie is 30-45 minutes away from us, and we only go there for 2 reasons — Roger and Frances or to go shopping. We did both that day, but it was more for the couple that we love and their wedding 🙂

Chicken Pho

Perfect for the very cold weather that we had that day.

Broth was very light and flavorful. The noodles were good,

If we are to compare it to the Vietnamese restaurant in Towson (which is 10 min away from us) we would say that is better. But Pho 98’s is good enough to keep our tummies happy.

Half A Month

03.02.14 – 03.09.14

Hello, dolls!! 🙂 Let me tell you upfront that this is going to be lengthy (yup, 20++ photos ahead!). So I am squeezing this in my busy weekend.I meant to post this a few days ago but responsibilities just came knocking on my door, awesome opportunities for that matter. I think I have been overworking myself for the past 3 days that all I want to do now is lay in bed and sleep….BUUUUT I must fight this feeling cause I have another fun night ahead of me!! 🙂 I can’t believe that 2 days from now I will be here for a month already! Meaning, it has been a month since I last hugged my family!!! AAAAAH, but no drama cause I know I can make things happen and in less than a year I will see them again! I promise.

So life has been AMAAAAHZING here, and I think this blog deserves an awesome “update”!

I’ve been taking lots of photos with my new “baby”, resulting to me uploading 20+ photos for this entry (it’s so hard to choose!!!)

We take our Monday dinners seriously. If we are not out in an awesome restaurant, we are in the kitchen cooking together.

Frances’ Bridal Shower

03.03.13: Happy Sunday

One fact about me – I have never been to a bridal shower. I am 22 years old and I feel like, bridal and baby showers are coming my way and I am nothing but excited! For me, B & B showers celebrates womanhood and all the love connected to it. As a fiancee, wife and a mother. So yeah, just imagine my excitement when Frances handed me an invitation to her bridal shower.

Started our Sunday by meeting up with our Angels in MD at church 🙂

Ren’s Ramen

02.09.13: Everyday is Valentine’s day

The shallow me has been paying my world a visit more than the usual lately. It’s been telling me that everything will change soon. But, my happy and mature self has been telling me to pay no mind cause life just keeps on unfolding  beautiful things right before my eyes during the least times that I expect them. I am anxious and excited at the same time. Summer 2013 will be nothing but a fun ride. I am excited to see my family after more than a year, and make each day count more and more. I am also excited about the life ahead of me. I feel like my life is planned and unplanned at the same time that all I can think about is how awesome it would be on 2014. The year has just started, and I am already excited about next year,is that even acceptable in anybody’s book? Maybe yes, all I know is.. I am blessed 🙂

I can’t remember the last time that the both of us had a decent Friday schedule. After working for an opening shift, the both of us hurriedly dressed up at work and drove to Rockville, almost near DC and a beautiful place to find Asian restaurants.

I watched Ramen Girl again for the nth time, this time with him. We probably skipped a few scenes just because he was only interested about the ramen..but yeah, it made him google map the word “Ramen” and only one restaurant showed up…

Ren’s Ramen.

A hole in the wall restaurant that brought joy in our hearts and delight in our tummies. All I can think about is how exceptional everything was. It felt like a dream…my mouth was probably dreaming while savoring the ramen.. oh God.

Yakisoba will always be a favorite of mine. I never understood my Mom when she would never miss in ordering out Yakisoba when we are in a Japanese restaurant until one day, I craved for it and ordered Yakisoba with a friend one lunch date way back during my Culinary days.

RR’s yakisoba jump-started our date night. It was not too salty and the flavors were just right. YUM!

I ordered one of their specials Chanpon Men.

This was just too perfect for me! Seafood with lots of veggies flavored with sesame oil. Ren’s Ramen is a sapporo style ramen house. The noodles was just…. amazing. I have no words but…. I WANT THIS BABY NOW!!!!!

Gyoza  as our “supposed to be appetizer”. I did not really pay too much attention on this since the ramen overpowered my sanity.

Since it was a breezy Friday date night, I’ve decided to go for a not-so-girly outfit. Wore this top from Gap that my sister sent me! Too perfect for the winter 🙂

Used black accessories to give more edge to my plain winter top/dress

I am so in to self shots lately. Haha #ForgiveMe

Happy girl,

Red Ribbon

10.11.12: Monday on a Thursday

I can’t remember the last time I have been this disappointed. I hate the feeling of not having enough time, the feeling of wasting time..or chances. Or just merely not live each day to the fullest. We only live once, YES. However, some circumstances make it difficult for us to do more important things. I have lived in a world where family is a priority; where a week is not complete without going to church;  where money is just a source of income and not something that would defy life; and life is celebrated everyday. This may come shallow or trivial, but it really is just frustrating when you know you’ve worked hard for something that will make someone..or people happy.  I know I have earned it..we earned it. We waited for almost a month and now, that weekend is nothing but a plan that never happened. I really wish and pray that I would have the chance to celebrate next year. Cause this year just screwed us..big time.
