Hong Kong Diary: See you again, Hong Kong!

10:06:13: Of Traveling Together

Hello, sweets! Another week is coming to an end, Monday is fast approaching, and I can’t wait for my weekend to start!!! This year, A and I promised each other that we will make this year better than the first 2 years we’ve been together. 2012, we were too busy at work that we missed spending some celebrations together (I remember working for his birthday all night). 2013, I spent 8 months in Manila, 8 months away from him. We engaged ourselves in a long distance relationship, and happily made it through after almost 11 months. Which I am very grateful for because A did everything to make me feel like he is not too away from me. Up to the point that he traveled to Asia and spent 3 weeks with me and my family. This year, we want to make the most of our time and experience new things together before we get married.

Anyway, this is my last post about our memorable trip in Hong Kong. Writing about this makes me pumped up about writing more each week so I can start our Bangkok Diary soon! Also, it excites me for our next trip together!!!! Traveling brought A and I closer and I think it is one of the reasons why I said YES to him. We got lost together, walked for an hour, survived a place we’ve never been before, spoke to people we couldn’t understand, and learned things about each other.

Make sure you’ve read my previous posts about our Hong Kong trip before you move on!! 🙂

Hong Kong Diary: A’s Birthday Dinner

10.05.13: 26 and happy

Hello, sweets! 🙂 Here’s the continuation of A’s amazing birthday week in Hong Kong last year (in case you haven’t read the first part yet, here it is http://riannagalvez.wordpress.com/2014/10/06/hong-kong-diary-happy-birthday-a/ ) We had so much fun lat night for A’s birthday dinner this year, I can’t wait to post tidbits about it on Instagram and hopefully share it here on my blog SOON! We are still away from reality (Baltimore) and we’ve decided to stay a little longer here cause we can’t go back to our apt. life-work cycle yet. Anywayyyy, for A’s birthday dinner last year, we did not plan anything, we just wanted to go out and have a nice dinner in a beautiful place. I am a fan of Shangri-La so I suggested that we go there, which was very last minutes — and it did not disappoint, as expected 😉

Hong Kong Diary: Happy Birthday, A!

10.05.13: Good Morning, Birthday Boy 🙂

Hello, dolls! 🙂 3 years ago, October to me was just the month before my birthday, or my Mom’s birthday month, but since her birthday falls on the first week of October, I deliberately forget the month’s essence right after.. HA. Tomorrow is A’s birthday, and before I get anxious about my birthday surprise for him, I will share with you snippets from his birthday last year. I don’t know how I will be able to top his food adventure filled celebration in Hong Kong but thank heavens for giving me 3 days to give him a memorable one this year. Hint: we will be away from Baltimore again!!! (yay!)

First Stop for A’s Birthday: Harbour City

This mall is too gorgeous for words! All the good stores (and when I say good, I mean high-end designer brands) are here…but since our Hong Kong trip was all about food, I had to stop myself from dragging A to stores that will take our time from visiting restaurants.Don’t worry, he gave me all the time in the world during our recent trip to Bangkok! 🙂

10.04.2013: We take eating srsly.

Hello, dolls!!! 🙂 I know it’s been a while since my last entry, but life has been extremely amazing that I had to put off blogging for a while. The upside of me being too busy is that there will be tons of entries for me to work on and post here (in hopes that I will be able to bring back my “rhythm” and blog regularly). I think posting an entry about my adventure with A in Hong Kong is very timely now, cause we just came back from Bangkok. I originally wanted to work on this before our trip (you know to give more light to my reason of why this is timely). But, being home is too amazing (and overwhelming) that blogging was out of the context for my first 10 days back.

Before I move on, here are my previous entries about my Hong Kong vacation with A…

For our 4th day in Hong Kong, A and I decided to “take it to the streets”.

We tried most of the street food that we saw and I think we did pretty good. You be the judge as we move forward 😉

DSCN9328A

But of course, we still visited a couple of restaurants to make our day even better… or maybe we just love having a feast even when it’s just the 2 of us. haha

10.03.2013: I’m getting used to this

Hello, dolls!!! 🙂 So I thought of posting an entry before I leave for MNL, cause I know I will be taking tons of pictures back home — OMG I can’t wait to be with my family again I can’t hide my excitement!!!! Here’s the second part of our 3rd day in Hong Kong, another food adventure entry that makes me miss Hong Kong — and more excited about our upcoming trip! I know this is almost a year late, but it still feels like it was only yesterday when A and I discovered a lot of amazing food spots in Hong Kong.

And in case you haven’t read these entries yet, click the links below to have a glimpse of how our first 3 days in HK went.

After our Stanley/Repulse Bay short trip, we went to Central,Hong Kong to go to one of the restaurants on our list.

It doesn’t have an English name and we only had the address, so no “name dropping” as they say.

But to have an idea of what this restaurant is like, here’s one of the things that A got…… a roasted pigeon.

10.03.14: The “no idea” moments

Hello, dolls!!! 🙂 I can’t believe that I am VERY close to seeing my family again!! In less than a week I will be flying back to MNL (OMG!!) I can’t hide my excitement! My family and I planned so much for my homecoming and I must say, there will be a lot of plane rides for A and I for our upcoming 3 week vacation. It’s pretty similar to what happened last year when A came to the Philippines to visit me — a lot of cooking, eating, and traveling. Maybe I waited a little bit too long to post our Hong Kong trip, or maybe not. Its nice to look back and remember all the things that we did during our week long adventure at a place that he’s been wanting to visit since…ever.

DSCN9251A

Hong Kong has always been a shopping trip for me until A and I went. We did so many different things that I wouldn’t normally put in my itinerary.

DSCN9262A

One of which is to take an hour and a half shuttle ride going to Repulse Bay and see a different side of Hong Kong..

10.02.2013: Hop on Hop Off

Hello, dolls!! 🙂 Here is the last part of our second day in Hong Kong. This entry is perfect for foodies like A and I. We had a long list of restaurants that we wanted to visit prior to our Hong Kong trip so we made sure that we would try and visit at least 2 each day. A and I have traveled to different places during our first year together, though this was the first time we went to another country, we’ve made sure that our strategy will stay the same — keep our eyes open for beautiful things that we might see while on our way to the restaurant that we want to go to.

Big Bus Tours played a huge part during our trip. I don;t think we would be able to go to all the places we’ve been to during the day without BBB. The first time we went on a tour with Big Bus Tours was in Philadelphia with my teacher. I remember reading on their brochure that they operate in different countries as well so I Googled it and voila…. they have BBB in Hong Kong! 🙂 Yay Continue reading “Hong Kong Diary: Island Food Adventures”

Hong Kong and Us

10.01.13: Hello, Hong Kong!!!!!

Hello, dolls! 🙂 It’s been a crazy-busy-AHMAHZING week again (but  believe me when I say, it’s the busiest week since I got here). So this is one is a gazillion months overdue, but you know me ,when something is extra amazing I like to keep it to myself until my desktop complains with the overflow. Anyway, this one very very VERY special because of many reasons.

It was our first time to travel overseas, it’s amazing how we were able to do a LOT of things together during our first year as a couple. We celebrated A’s birthday in Hong Kong, birthday week as they say! It was a dream come true for him, to try authentic Chinese cuisine and be at a place that he’s been dreaming of going to — the look on A’s face when I told him I have our tickets for Hong Kong was priceless. It was the perfect getaway after not seeing each other for 5 months. Aaaaaand now, it’s the best reminder of how amazing it feels to travel and be in a totally different place.

So yeaaap, I’ve decided to blog about this now cause I am tooooo excited about August and September! We will be traveling again!!! This time with my entire family!!! Yay <3

DSCN8996A

I don’t know what has gotten to me and  I brought leggings with me to the Philippines! So I just had to…. I had to wear leggings on our way to Hong Kong, it gets cold in the plane so it was the perfect excuse. Haha

First Anniversary: Ram’s Head Inn x Stewarts

04.21.2013: 365 days

Hello, dolls! 🙂 Today, I am going to share something really special. I know this is almost a year late but just like what I always say, I like to keep some things to myself until the right time — just like this one. I can still remember all the little and big “firsts” that A and I shared together, and how cute he was each time. Like how shy he was when he asked me on our “FroYo date” –which turned out to be our “first date” as well. The time that he was so excited to get off work early and pick me up from my apartment and bring me to one of the best Italian restaurants here in Baltimore for our “first real date”. The first time he let me drive his car , first movie we watched together , first Asian restaurant we went to , first NYC trip , first month together , and the first time he said I love you — the list goes on and on and ON and everyday is just amazing with him.

You see, I do not talk about our relationship that much here on my blog, but this week is like an exception. I can’t believe that we are going to celebrate our second year anniversary in 3 days!!! It’s crazy!!! Where did time go?? I feel like nothing much has changed, only that our love for each other grew (or to make it cheesier — blossomed like the beautiful flowers of spring). We are still the crazy kids who gets too excited about food and cooking and loves to travel and talk about whatnots in the middle of the night.

Everyday is an opportunity for firsts.

IMG_6062A

I’ve always wanted a man who will make dinner reservation for us and tell me “wear a lovely dress tonight”. Lucky for me, I met a man who did that on our first week of being together (major brownie points!!).

A made a reservation in one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve been to. For our first anniversary, we went to Ram’s Head Inn in New Jersey.

But, before I tell you about the delicious food that we had, let me start with the nice afternoon that we had.

We started our day by giving each other our presents.

Our Kitchen Diaries

October 2013

Hello ,dolls!!! 🙂 I am back with another blog post about A’s 3 week vacation here in the Philippines 🙂 I am going to skip to our “pre and post Hong Kong trip”…just because. But really, I just want to work on that when I have a clearer view about things. Like no travel jitters about next month– just me, my piece of mind and the happiness that we felt during our 6 days in Hong Kong. So before I get to that sappy lane of being lonely and excited about my departure for the US next month, I will stop myself now and proceed to the photos below 🙂

IMG_0571

Before we left for Hong Kong, A and I decided to cook dinner for my family.

Since we just got back from Palawan the day before, we promised my parents that we will only go out to buy ingredients for our…BURGER NIGHT!!! 🙂

09.27.2013: Way too chill for a Thursday night out

Hello dolls!! It’s Christmas Eve tomorrow and I am so excited!!!! 🙂 I have been very very VERY busy these past few days. I don’t know how I got into this beautiful situation but I am loving the feeling!! It feels like December 2012 all over again! 13 hours in the kitchen, grinding like there is no tomorrow! So I’ve been starting my day earlier than usual.. doing kitchen duties for the family and awesome people who believes in my talent (soooo happy that I get to spend my entire day doing what I love). As much as I want to blab about my Christmas high, I NEED to keep this short cause I promised my chopping board that I will only be away for a couple of minutes.

So before I get too caught up with my Christmas lovin’ here at home, let me share with you a part 2 of A’s third day here in MNL 🙂

Went out with the interns for dinner

So happy we got to see these babies again!!! 🙂

Since proximity is a big factor when hanging out with people who lives outside Manila, we had to compromise on a place where it will be easy for everyone to go to. So Ortigas was on top of the list.

Another thing that we considered was the crowd, most of the girls wanted a chill spot…where we can have cocktails and not worry about smokers that much. So we’ve decided to give Cellar a try. A resto bar/lounge owned by a high school classmate 🙂

Food and drinks were good..unfortunately… Thursday in Metrowalk is a dead scene. I don’t know if it was just a coincidence cause it was also raining that day.

“Here’s to all the places we went.

And here’s to all the places we’ll go.

And here’s to me,

whispering again and again

and again and again:

I LOVE YOU”

– John Green

IMG_9404

After 152 days, I was finally able to hug him again 🙂

IMG_9403

To the best girlfriends ever..

And to my Mom..THANK YOU 🙂

We all didn’t have enough sleep, I was too excited that I only slept for an less than an hour.

Diane and Jho had class at 7AM and 9AM respectively.  We met at 3:30AM.

My Mom braved the road and made it on time for me to see him walk out that gate 🙂

IMG_9428

It was one of the best feelings ever.

I wore my favorite Lauren Conrad dress.

The same dress I wore the last time we saw each other..so it will seem like it was only yesterday when we last gave each other a hug.

I got my airport scene.

——————–

First place we went to after we picked A up at the airport….JOLLIBEE! His favorite.

I like how this awesome man loves Jollibee so much! A Greek-Italian Chef from America who has nothing but good praises about Jollibee. After flying 8554 miles, all he wants for breakfast is…Jollibee! Haha

DSCN8498

DSCN8497

We had to wait for a couple of minutes in the parkin lot since Jollibee doesn’t open until 6AM.

And since we were the first customers, chicken joy (his ultimate favorite) was not available yet.

DSCN8496

Cause 2 peach mango pies here in the Philippines is equivalent to 1 peach mango pie in the States! haha 🙂

His other favorite!!

—————

So the first hour of him being here in Manila felt like a dream. I couldn’t believe that he was beside me and not on a rectangular device. It was amazing to be able to touch him again 🙂

And now, as I relive every moment that we had during his 3 week visit here, I feel like it was only yesterday when all these happened.

I am blessed to have the most amazing man as my love 🙂

23 tomorrow! xx

Real Soon

April 2013: A round up of lunches

Hello dolls!!! Today, the world reminded me about two things. One, that life is really…really (REALLY) short. I’ve been having deep thoughts (and weird if I must say) about time and how it affects life. Second, I will be turning 23 in 28 days!!! I have never been excited about getting  a year older, and I know this year is the only exception (for some reason).

As a tradition, I posted my first birthday wish for the upcoming year. I had this silly idea when I turned 20, that every year (before I hit the big 3-0), I will create a birthday wishlist and try to make them all happen in 365 days. I did bad last year as I wasn’t able to come up with 22 wishes.

Anyway, I will be posting everything on Tumblr, so if you want to be inspired you may check this link from time to time 🙂 http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/riannabirthdaywishlist23

Before I start talking about non-sense, here are a few photographs that I took before I went back here in Manila. Looking at these photos made me more excited about the life ahead of me! It’s going to happen real soon…..and I have nothing but mixed emotions about it. (P.S. most photos were taken out of boredom lol)

I am now at the stage where in I feel like I am just going to blurt out the biggest news in my life any minute now (I am pinching myself now as I type this). Something beautiful is making me happy, and when I say beautiful I mean…. the-most-beautiful-thing-that-I-have-ever-worn in my 23 (almost) years of existence. Speaking of beautiful, let me share with you a very beautiful day that we had a “few” months ago. Can I just say that I have the most loving man that a silly girl like me could ever have. Boardwalk Mmm-pire!

03.28.13: Road trip with friends (3 days that I would love to go back to!)

There are things in life that I thought I would never get to experience until I’m on my mid 30’s. With the exaggeration making it sound horrible, I just had a different mentality about “the future” before. Almost 6 years ago, I thought earning 15k a month would make me happy and “wealthy”. Oh the horror of being young…and naive.  Anyway, I AM SO GLAD that someone woke me up from the horrible nightmare and made me realize that I am headed towards something bigger and better. Thank God!!

As I look at my life now, I am still on cloud 9 pinching myself trying to comprehend the fact that THIS IS really happening. “This”, this moment! I didn’t know that a small-digital-squared-shape-device could make me look at my future. Knowing that there is something permanent about my life now builds another layer of shield against anything lamentable. Just when I thought I couldn’t get any tougher in life, God hands me another blessing.

So this post is like a gazillion months late. And trust me, I’ve tried to keep my pace. But bTV has taken over my life on a different level. I spend my free time watching shows that makes me mad, laugh and excited all at the same time! And spend my busy hours daydreaming about the next episode of whichever show (haha) #exaggeration. So I am still trying to understand how I was able to watch 4 seasons of Real Housewives of New Jersey in a week. Yes a full week! And yes, I still have a life. I find myself staying up late just to catch up on my shows. And now, I’m watching Sex and the City again for the nth time. LIFE COULDN’T BE BETTER! Haha

IMG_5660

“Drive sober or get pulled over”

If we have signs like this in the Philippines, maybe drivers would’ve cared more. #MAYBE

Fact101: I love packing! I love to pack. I love the feeling that I get when I pack for the both of us. I LOVE PACKING (period). Unlike most people, I don’t complain about it. The thought of going somewhere makes me excited about packing, it’s like an addiction, sometimes I go on trips just for the sake of packing.. haha

IMG_5804

I remember going to subway with my Dad 2-3 Saturdays in a month. After we drop off my siblings in Glorietta’s “Kids at Work” we would go straight to Subway and order a sub each with a bag of lays. This occurred when I was big enough to tell him that I am already the tallest and “fattest” kid in the playground. I remember enjoying my sub and how my Dad would look at me like I’m a fat boy.

When I got to the States, a lot older from my  subway days. I tried to drift away from the sandwiches, I just felt like I was already pass that stage – me eating like a fat kid. And besides, my agenda was to try something new! I felt like subway has been in the Philippines long enough that if ever I crave for some “ummm-some” sandwich, it’ll be just there.

IMG_5805

Italian Cold Cut Submarine!!!

On a cold normal weekday, it is surprising that we were welcomed with a line outside the door. The “sub shop” is not too glamorous looking, but even people who are wearing a coat and tie are seated by the bar enjoying a sub. We were lucky that there are 4 of us so we got a booth. Otherwise, I would be seated by the bar with the chorvs feeling uncomfortable #ArtreGirlProblems

Since we already had breakfast prior to our late lunch trip to White House, we compromised on getting a full 24 inch…yes 2 feet!!! Italian Sub!!! It was divided into 4 and I swear, I would’ve eaten more, but since we are in Atlantic City, I know that I would be spending the entire day nibbling on something.

P.S. This is really really really good! And I am lucky that I have the best chorvs ever that brings me to places like this!!!

I don’t know who were we fooling but a full sub was not enough for the 4 of us…

We just had to give in and order another full sub!! this time, a very delicious Cheese steak!!!

Mmm so good I can’t even!!!! And yes our subs were served with hots!! that made them even more delicious!!!

A few moments after nutella crepe, hazelnut drink, a pair of shoes and a bag, we found ourselves walking towards the Boardwalk. I haven’t seen it on a daylight like this, and I must say, I appreciated it more this time.

So while waiting for our friend who is trying to win some money at the Casino, we took advantage of the nice sunny day and “bonded” with the camera.

My first Sonic experience. It’s crazy cause we have in Baltimore, but it’s always on the other side of the road when we go to that area.

DSCN7877

This reminded me of Roller Rush, a game that I was so hooked on almost 10 years ago!

So after a quick shopping trip somewhere on NJ, we all decided to cook dinner (or at least the amigos did haha). What better way to spend a road trip with friends 🙂

Grilled Fresh Clams and Garlic & Herbs in Oil

The clams alone were already perfect, but putting some of this very light and fresh condiment makes it even more tasteful! Mmm

Grilled Chicken x Carbonara x Grilled Portobellos and Asparagus

I can truly say that we had an amazing dinner. Having the amigos cook for us is a bonus! Haha 🙂

The next day…. (back to reality) 😐

DSCN7884

Since I want to minimize the leftovers that we will be bringing back home, I’ve decided to make use of the ingredients that we have left.

I made a batch of crustless grilled asaparagus and portobello parmesan quiche.

I used a muffin pan and lined each hole with a parchment paper to have that “fancy” or should I say…”cutesy” feel! Needless to say, I was very happy with how this turned out, and of course, the amount of stuff that we brought home!

Pretty make up brushes that I snagged in Forever21! <3

P.S. This blog was meant to be posted Tuesday last week, but I was too busy that I shamelessly forgot about it 🙁

03.16.13 – A Saturday served RARE

I can only count the times that we spent the entire Saturday together. On a rare occasion like this, it’ll be such a shame to put it waste. Lucky for us, we are surrounded with people who takes care of us dearly and makes each moment during our first year in the States extra memorable. It was an adventure, all I know is we were jumping like crazy people  inside the apartment by midnight cause we were going to the city of Brotherly Love early in the morning.

I have been meaning to work on this entry for almost 3weeks now but since I suck at remembering things when I go on a trip (something that should change PRONTO) I had to call for help from the best travel bud ever, the boyf! 🙂

IMG_5663

Quick trip to the rest stop to grab some food. We woke up later than expected so we had to omit eating breakfast at home.

Chili dog for him x Ham & Egg Muffin for me!

P.S. It’s such a shame that I forgot to take a photo of my newly manicured nails! Shame cause it was my first time to use the nail polish that my brother sent me for my birthday! Eek. Anyway, if you look closely you’ll see that posh nail polish that I had on for that weekend! 🙂

Confession 101 : I love sightseeing tours!! Though I suck at taking notes, I enjoy the  fact that I get to  discover new things. Pretty much the main purpose why I love to travel! 🙂

Anyway, we were lucky to have Mrs. Angel with us. She arranged this half day tour for us and I am telling you this “hop-on-hop-off” sightseeing tour is like one of the best ways to see Philadelphia. I enjoyed it too much despite of the VERY cold weather that lead to some light rain…was it? Haha

Victim of the Past

03.14.13: One step forward, 2 steps back

Have you ever heard of the phrase “don’t be a victim of the past?” I know some of us tries with all our might not to be one, or at least I know I have been trying for the past years. But in some rare cases like yesterday, it’s hard not to look back and feel like I am being choked by my past. Past is such a big word for me, it embodies my entire high school life. They say if it’s something good, it becomes a memory otherwise it’s your “past”. One of the beautiful things that happened from my distraught yesterday was that as I relieve my past, I realized WHY this page exists, and WHERE these words are coming from. WHO hurt me,and the people that were there to pick me up. WHAT kept me strong all these times and the reason why I I love talking about life. That tiny bit of hope that I am holding on to, the satisfying feeling of being able to inspire someone. It means the world to me everytime someone tells me that I have touched your life in some way through my words. I have recently made an account on ask.fm. You all know what it’s for, but unlike what happened to Formspring before, where it became a complete war zone because of all the bashers, I want that account to highlight everything about life. So I hope to see you all here —- http://ask.fm/RiannaGalvez

We go to Virginia for 2 reasons – our future and FOOD! For our Thursdate, we had lunch in Uncle Lieu’s Hotpot. I love hotpot, so I had high hopes when I entered the restaurant.

Since it’s my first hotpot in the states,we’ve decided to get half spicy and half not spicy..wish they had a better name for it cause it sounded ridiculous when I typed it. Ha!

Anyway, I ordered woodear mushroom and lobster balls cause they’re my favorites while ordered fishballs and pork belly! YUMMS

IMG_5620

IMG_5621

Most chinese restaurants in MD don’t offer chicken feet! Boo. So we order it everytime it’s on the menu. YUMMS!

IMG_5622

(a) Dan Dan Noodle – his favorite! Not a fan but according to him it’s better than Pei Wei’s (well duhh of course, Uncle Lieu is an authentic Chinese restaurant! haha)

(b) Bang Bang Chicken – I am whatever percent Chinese but I don’t understand the double worded names lol. Anyway, I got curious cause it’s the first time that I’ve heard of this so I gave it a try. Big mistake for me, not a fan of that strong black vinegary taste. So not for me.. the boyf on the other hand found a new love though! The BANG BANG!

(c) Spicy Wonton – finally….something that would satisfy me…NOT! I wish it wasn’t submerged in a spicy and hot sauce! 😐

IMG_5628

So only one of us truly enjoyed our lunch. Good thing they serve their fortune cookie with oranges, that made me smile! haha 🙂

IMG_5629

Since we do not want to be in a jam because of rush hour, we decided to kill time in Sweet Berry, the perfect place to keep me sane!

IMG_5630

Froyo x Gelato x Milk Tea x Crepe x Milk Shake!!! All in one cutesy store!!! <3

Cross Street Market

03.11.13 – Early For Spring

Hey Dolls! It has been exactly a week since I last posted an entry, and I am glad that my words  has found its way to the rhythm of normalcy.  I hope it lasts though. Haha. Anyway, as what I have said before, I want the last 2 months of my beautiful journey in the beautiful city where I fell in love in to be shared in a different phase until I see my happiness again… in 130 days to be exact! Different dates will be thrown in once in a while, a bit jumbled up if I may say but I will still make sure that it’ll be worth the read, just like what I try to aim every time I write. So here’s another beautiful memory to write about.. a day that is blessed with the bright sun guiding us to see beautiful things, and photos that preserves our memories of how lovely that day was.

DSCN7673

It’s such a shame that it took me a year to know what’s inside this building. I always see it every time we go on a night out with the girls but I never truly cared to ask what it has to offer. And boo, I keep on shaking my head still for not asking sooner! Cross Street Market is the kind of place that I like to go to on a casual and laid back day!

DSCN7674

IMG_5581

It has all kinds of food that I couldn’t eat near our apartment! At least, good food with fresh ingredients if I may add. They have food stalls of home-cooked Asian food, desserts that made my mouth melt and FRESH seafood that I can’t buy in the groceries nearby!

IMG_5577

First stop: Bruce Lee Wings!

Reminded me of Bon Chon and Chicken Charlie!  It was sooooo good it took me straight to chicken land!

Second: Oishi Teriyaki for some carbs! :))

Since we really really want to go to Wasabi again, but we want to save it for a special day and with special people, we’ve decided that our last meal for lunch should be sushi!

Mama’s On The Half Shell

03.10.13 – Those kind of nights

Have you ever been in a situation wherein you felt hopeless and emotionally tired? And the only thing you held onto is the little faith that you have in your heart? I almost lost my grip a few days ago. But  God has amazingly touched my life again and used the people that I love to help me get through something that made my life move into a better phase. When God uses the people that I love to get closer to Him, my soul gets nurtured in a different way. It’s like He gave a new meaning to the word “amazing”. So I spent half of my day thanking Him, and the other half by appreciating my family and friends more. Mother’s day is just around the corner, but the photos below will not transcend to it so I will just let the single word from the title above commemorate my Mom,and how grateful I am for the support that she has given me yesterday. I wouldn’t get through it without her, just like every single day.

Frances’ Bridal Shower

03.03.13: Happy Sunday

One fact about me – I have never been to a bridal shower. I am 22 years old and I feel like, bridal and baby showers are coming my way and I am nothing but excited! For me, B & B showers celebrates womanhood and all the love connected to it. As a fiancee, wife and a mother. So yeah, just imagine my excitement when Frances handed me an invitation to her bridal shower.
