06.13.14: The Girl
Hello, dolls!!! 🙂 Happy (almost) weekend! It’s very seldom that I look forward to Fridays here because I am usually at work until late which makes it feel like a Monday. But tomorrrrrow, I get to embrace it just like this one! A night off with my fiance, and I am too hyped about it because we are going to the Greek Festival then celebrate being youth with our dear friends. So here’s the part two of our friday date night. We made sure that we will have pictures of everything that we did and saw during that day, weekend date nights does not happen very often for us so we wanted it be well documented 😉
I wanted my previous post to be solely for Woodberry Kitchen (http://riannagalvez.wordpress.com/2014/11/05/woodberry-kitchen/)
so I’ve decided to create another entry for my #OOTD and…..
our Charmery experience.
As painful as this may sound, I’ve stopped eating ice cream a couple of days ago. I was the biggest ice cream freak until I gained so much weight that I had to give up some of my favorite indulgences. I remember downing 2 cups of Nestle’s Rocky Road in one sitting, and how I loved Cornetto! Aaaaah just thinking about it makes me want to go to work now and get a pint of honey graham ice cream!!!!
Hello, sweets!!! 🙂 Today I am going to write about the continuation of our engagement shoot. Unlike my previous post, this won’t be extra cheesy and it will mostly cover food. It’s hard for A and I to go out on a date and not make food the highlight.Planning the engagement shoot was very exciting for us, so I will also add a little extra to this post and show you snippets of the things that we did prior to the event. I don’t know if I can ever top my New York Engagement Shoot post, I mean WOW! The traffic that I got and overwhelming messages from everyone made my heart melt. And I guess it’s safe to say…… donnnnn’t goooo! Hahaha!
Want to be inspired? Read my blog about our Engagement Shoot before you scroll down http://riannagalvez.wordpress.com/2014/10/22/new-york-engagement-shoot/
New York is not only about the fast phased lifestyle and glamorous outfits. It’s the concrete jungle, and one must be an animal to fully see what New York is all about.
Don’t just go to 5th Ave or Times Square. Do get lost, ask New Yorkers, and don’t be afraid! Try the food carts parked on the streets and go to a beautiful restaurant with an amazing view. Stare at the subway map. Ladies, look at the shoes that New Yorkers wear.
Don’t be a tourist, be a traveler.
A gets excited when he sees the word “noodles”. He saw the logo of this restaurant and asked Pat if he can take pictures outside this restaurant.
I almost died laughing, but let’s be honest I found it cute that he spoke up. The engagement shoot is more of a woman’s thing and the fact that he cooperated and wanted something for the two of us made me so happy.
Anyway, we can’t have a picture outside this restaurant and not eat here.
10.05.13: 26 and happy
Hello, sweets! 🙂 Here’s the continuation of A’s amazing birthday week in Hong Kong last year (in case you haven’t read the first part yet, here it is http://riannagalvez.wordpress.com/2014/10/06/hong-kong-diary-happy-birthday-a/ ) We had so much fun lat night for A’s birthday dinner this year, I can’t wait to post tidbits about it on Instagram and hopefully share it here on my blog SOON! We are still away from reality (Baltimore) and we’ve decided to stay a little longer here cause we can’t go back to our apt. life-work cycle yet. Anywayyyy, for A’s birthday dinner last year, we did not plan anything, we just wanted to go out and have a nice dinner in a beautiful place. I am a fan of Shangri-La so I suggested that we go there, which was very last minutes — and it did not disappoint, as expected 😉
Read my previous entries about Hong Kong
They have 2 Shangri-La Hotels in Hong Kong, but we chose Island Shangri-La because we thought we are always at Tsim Tsa Tsui.
With my love <3
Look at this beautiful gigantic chandelier. Shangri-La hotels exude elegance, the perfect place to spend A’s 26th birthday 🙂
10.04.2013: We take eating srsly.
Hello, dolls!!! 🙂 I know it’s been a while since my last entry, but life has been extremely amazing that I had to put off blogging for a while. The upside of me being too busy is that there will be tons of entries for me to work on and post here (in hopes that I will be able to bring back my “rhythm” and blog regularly). I think posting an entry about my adventure with A in Hong Kong is very timely now, cause we just came back from Bangkok. I originally wanted to work on this before our trip (you know to give more light to my reason of why this is timely). But, being home is too amazing (and overwhelming) that blogging was out of the context for my first 10 days back.
Before I move on, here are my previous entries about my Hong Kong vacation with A…
For our 4th day in Hong Kong, A and I decided to “take it to the streets”.
We tried most of the street food that we saw and I think we did pretty good. You be the judge as we move forward 😉
But of course, we still visited a couple of restaurants to make our day even better… or maybe we just love having a feast even when it’s just the 2 of us. haha
