My sweet Alexander is 4!! 💙 Oh what a joy to wa

My sweet Alexander is 4!! 💙 Oh what a joy to watch him grow. Sometimes I feel like he is 14 when he talks, the things this boy can comprehend still blows me away. His memory is impeccable and I love our conversations that starts with “Mommy remember when..”. Most of the time I still feel like he is my tiny baby boy who loves to cuddle. I cherish the moments that he sits on my lap and rests his head next to my heart. The look on his face when he runs to give me the biggest hug of the day is priceless — which happens a lot lately. ⠀⠀
He will often ask “Mommy does this make you happy?” but little does he know just having him in my life is more than enough to make me the happiest..everyday. He thinks his Daddy is the coolest and copies everything he does or wear. Cool boy sneakers, wearing a watch everyday, pirates, and legos — “I want to be like Daddy!”. ⠀⠀
Alexander asked for everything #Spiderman all year, then two days ago he said “I only want #Batman , no more Spider-Man! He had the biggest smile when he saw all the Spidey stuff today. Life with this boy can be very unpredictable but he will never forgot to appreciate everything you do for him. I love you, Alexander ❤️❤️❤️ I love being your Mommy 💙💙💙 #AlexanderWillGoPlaces •

There was a lot of transitioning for Alexander dur

There was a lot of transitioning for Alexander during the past year. From becoming a big brother, going to school for the first time (and not be around family in the morning), to having me around all day and finishing the last three months of his pre-k3 remotely. ⠀⠀
I don’t think I can express enough how much we love his school and everything about it. I still can’t believe how much he has learned and matured during his first year as a student. He had the most amazing teachers and we will miss them terribly. This is the smile we see whenever he gets picked up from school. I can’t wait to hear about his friends, lunch, and the “cool boy things” he did in school again. I am so proud and happy for you, my Alexander. 💙🦅 #AlexanderWillGoPlaces •

Saying the year has flown by is an understatement. I sometimes feel like she is still 6 months old trying to learn how to do little things on her own. Now here we are with a year’s worth of beautiful memories. Amelia knows how to keep all of us on our toes, including her brother — just what we need in our lives, someone to give us a new perspective. 💕

When I found out I was having a girl, I instantly

When I found out I was having a girl, I instantly knew what kind of first birthday party I was going to throw for her. As Amelia got bigger and showed us her go-getter personality, the planning got easier. 💕
Over the past year, I penned every idea and bought little things to bring Amelia’s party into fruition. My family was scheduled to be here for the kids’ birthdays which was a relief because I knew I will have plenty of hands to help me. Then the #pandemic happened..all the excitement seemed to disappear and turned into hopeful longing for normalcy. This is not just about the party and being with friends and family. It’s about feeling life getting helplessly canceled.
Hoping everyone we know and love will be safe until we are all ready to meet again, because I would love for Alexander and Amelia to know the people that love them. 🌸 #TogetherApart

The last Saturday before our #quarantinelife start

The last Saturday before our #quarantinelife started. We took the kids to the #InnerHarborBaltimore so Alexander can see the ships and boats, which he totally loved and pointed out the ones that he said was his. 💙

It was a great Saturday of walking around and feeling the breeze on our faces. We all got a little cold but they happily obliged to take pictures for me. I was so excited to go to the newly renovated @crossstmarket after and thought to myself what a lovely Saturday we have as a family. ❤️ I miss Saturdays that feel like a weekend. Whether it’s soon or not, I just can’t wait to see the beauty of the world with #mytinytribe again 💛 #CharmCity

His little corner that we now call school. •
I dread the day that they will announce school is closed until the end of the year (or worse next year). The future is uncertain but more than anything else I just want to see my Alexander go back to school once this is all over. In my head I know there’s a big chance he won’t anytime soon, but my heart wants to stay positive..for him. ⠀⠀
Every night we pray for this virus to go away, and each night he will say “so I can go to school — see my classmates and teachers, go to target, and ride the airplane again”. My little man and his sweet heart. ⠀⠀
It’s not about getting him out of the house so I can have my peace. As crazy every day is, I am grateful for the time we get to spend together. I think about the times he would tell me about his day in school — who he played with, new songs he learned, and little things that tickled his curiosity. The look on his face when showing me all the work he did in his folder and his empty snack box (because Mommy is the happiest when his stomach is full!) is priceless. ⠀⠀
I want to feel bad for him for going through this and not understanding — but he is safe and happy and that’s what I should focus on. I want to feel mad, why does this virus have to exist? Quarantine day whatever, and my emotions are starting to shake. Children deserve better than this. #MommyDiaries #OurNewNormal

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. We have our little traditions as a family — go to the zoo, egg hunting, Easter brunch at our favorite restaurant, and hear mass. The realization of being in quarantine hit me hard today, but as always God provided comfort by reminding me “being okay” is the best gift of all. 🌸
