Hello, dolls!!! 🙂 Happy Sunday!!! Aaaah what a great Sunday. So how do I begin about my amazing day? Daylight savings — it means two things for me, first – it won’t be dark at 5PM anymore, second – my parents will not be confused about calculating the time difference anymore. I woke up today feeling like a I ran a marathon for 12 hours yesterday, I was crazy exhausted! Saturdays at work now is the busiest.I got out of bed pretty late, I was exhausted and instead of hating myself for it I talked to my sister, cause who else could make me feel better about feeling a little irresponsible? haha. One of the things that I looked forward to today is my date with Lovely, which was of course, amazing.
** So obviously, I was not able to publish this on Sunday so maybe today we can pretend that it’s still Sunday haha
In the perfect world,my Sundays will be welcomed with a delicious brunch after mass with family. A little quality time with friends in between dinner and having deep conversations with the people I love.
aaah, brunch. I love brunch way too much.
A and I fell in love with the orange limeade that we had at the Farmer’s Market.
Thanks to my amazing Mom-in-Law, she bought us a citrus juicer so we can make our orange limeade anytime 😉

Hello, sweets! Whew what a cold snowy week this is! It’s one snow day to another, I guess I will be waking up to the sight of snow on our porch until the end of the week 😐 Uhhh we are just so over with winter…I am seriously counting the days until it’s spring again. This cold weather (and crazy schedule) is making me eat every chocolate that I see, being surrounded with tons of chocolate here at home and at work is not helping my “bride” diet!!! (although let’s face, I have not really payed attention to my diet since December) — I just like to say it para I’ll sound like a legit bride-to-be hahaha
One of the best things about my relationship with A is our cookbook collection.
We both had a good number of books before we met each other, and our collection started growing in 2012 because we would often give each other books on special occasions. Now that we are engaged, we now call all of our books “ours”, which makes me so happy because it has always been a dream of mine to own all the great cookbooks out there.
An exceptional day is when you cross off 3 books from our wishlist.

July 2014: Introduction to Thai
Hello, sweets! Hello, Tuesday. I am sooo excited to share our Bangkok trip and I am happy that I will get to do that this month!!! So I guess this new social media routine worked out pretty well, though I know I still have to work on responding to e-mails quickly. The cold weather is giving me mixed emotions about February, part of me wants it to fly by so we can all enjoy March’s gift — spring. The other half of me is scared because February is the month that I want results, this is the time that I want to do big things and have a clearer vision about the future — it’s about yes or no.

12.2013: Memories at home
Hello, dolls! 🙂 Happy Christmas Eve!!!!!!! Aaaah another year of spending the holidays away from my family, but thank God this year is not going to be sad or anything because I have A’s family with me. I sometimes feel guilty when I overlook the sad part of being away from home, I feel like I am cheating.
I miss home… I miss all our December traditions. I know it’s too much to ask, but sometimes I wish I have both.
The food that I make at home helps me remember all the good moments that I had with my family.

Hello, sweets!!! 🙂 5 days until Christmas….are you all ready?? 🙂 Aaaah I can’t wait for my super long weekend (literally!) A much deserved break. I wish my family is here cause I know it would be perfect to spend my free time with them. A lot of things can remind us about Christmas, for me I can think of 5 right off the top of my head. One of which is food,and I swear, as we draw closer to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day I am already starting to get worried about my game plan because I know it will be non-stop eating for me!!!!
Summer is the perfect time for my smoothies. Everyone who is close to me knows that I could drink a 12oz smoothie in just seconds!
I am very particular with the smoothies that I drink. I only like fresh fruits and natural sweetener.
This summer, I was able to experiment with some of my favorite fruits and beat the heart with a nice homemade healthy cold smoothie!
And of course, my trusty pink blender was there to help!

Hello, dolls!!:) I can’t believe that I am back in MNL!! Aaaah it still feels surreal that I am in my pink room now blogging!! 🙂 The past 2 days has been lovely and I am so grateful for warmth welcome that I received from everyone especially my family. It is so nice to wake up in the morning and have breakfast with my parents again, have my sister as a roommate, and just be in the presence of my family — it almost feels like I never left.
It’s a blessing to have 2 places that I can call home. Last year, I thought I couldn’t let go of the idea of not calling Manila my only home, I felt like if I do so I will spend my life fighting time just to be with my family or it will make my chances of going home slim — and yes, I do not take family matters lightly. But with the help of A, his family, and our friends, I realized that I do not have to let go of MNL just so I can call Baltimore my home too. Some people, like me, are just fortunate to be blessed with an amazing life at the other side of the world, miles and miles away from home..
I know I have not posted enough “B-more updates” since February. Not enough cause there is a handful of amazing things that happened since I returned to my second home. So here is one,some of the things that helped/helps me love Baltimore everyday.

Family picture, a photo of my Dad and I when I was only n months old, cute little bear from my jeje-brother, the heart pen that my sister gave me…
…personalized key chain from my brother Remo,and an Eiffel tower stand up pin from my sissy. <3
Having these on my vanity makes me feel like they are not too far away from me. It reminds me of how blessed I am to have a family that is so understanding and supportive.

Hello dolls!! This week,I am EXTRA happy. A and I have a pretty decent work schedule for the next 9 days,and we are embracing each day with soooo much food! We both love pasta, I mean who doesn’t?? Pasta is one of our “to go” foods, and I love how we can make the simplest pasta dish in 15 minutes, or an amazing homemade pasta and sauce in 45 minutes. When the year 2014 started, I told A that when I get back I would like to try and do everything from scratch ; emphasis on the word try cause some foods need extra resources to be made. Anyway, one of the things that we enjoy doing in the kitchen is making fresh pasta.
We usually call Monday “Pasta Monday” or “Meatless Monday”.
But recently it has been “Asian Monday” cause for 2 weeks now I’ve cooked Asian food! haha
This happened almost 3 months ago, our very first fresh pasta in the apartment.
We decided to make ravioli with it. I remember it was the day after our housewarming party, and I told A I want ravioli, next thing I know we were in the kitchen gathering all the ingredients for our delicious dinner.

Hello, dolls! 🙂 How was your Mother’s Day weekend? Mine was ahh-mah-zing! I was able to talk to my Mom which was very important. I spent the weekend with my family here, away from reality. I would love to talk about our awesome weekend in New Jersey, but this post is going to be all about the foods that we made in the apartment. I noticed that it’s been a while since I posted something that I did in our kitchen — here on my blog, Instagram and Facebook. So here I am, sharing. 😉
Great food is meant to be shared, and I wish I can send you all a bite of the things that I make but I guess posting entries will suffice for now. So here are a couple of things that we did 2 months ago, yes 2 months ago! I have TONS of pictures to sort and post and I wish I can just keep the rhythm on this blog.
One morning, I woke up and said ” I want apple bars”. Lucky for me, I have a fiance who is willing to wake up early and go to the grocery to buy my ingredients.
I love using Granny Smith on desserts! And I LOVE Granny Smith with sugar and cinnamon…I mean, don’t we all do?
